  What is with the WT obsession with King David??

  it seems like at least once a month he is brought up as a good example in the study wt.

  it seems like he is given more praise than jesus.

  have you noticed this?

  They need the rank and file to equate the governing body with David.

  They need to downplay David’s errors, and create excuses for some very terrible things he did.

  Why?

  Because the governing body, anointed & 'chosen' like King David, “deserve special treatment” ….. no matter what they do.

  did a simple search in the wt library for words like, "question," "questioning," "doubts/ing,"obey," "understand.".

  these are listed in order of occurence oldest to newest (up to 2012 as my library is 2012 version).

  "if we have love for jehovah and for the organization of his people we shall not be suspicious, but shall, as the bible says, 'believe all things,' all the things that the watchtower brings out"qualified to be ministers (1955) p.156.

  Thx yadayada..... Altho I do understand (the deceitful, twisted, head hurting message of the WT) when YOU explain it...

  Listening to the WT makes my head hurt.

  All I can say is "OMG"!!!

  The WTBS are like quick change artists...

  "The quick-change artist will attempt to get two or three transactions ahead of you so you forget how much change is actually needed," he said. "They'll take as much as they can get. It's like a game."

  They confuse you by the abundance of words.

  Please help me here....

  When "they" say: "the faithful slave is not appointed over Christ's belongings, and won't be for the forseeable future."

  Are "they" just trying to be tricky and confusing?

  Translation: "the faithful slave is not appointed over Christ's belongings," "but the Governing Body is"?????

  Is that what they are inferring, and holding it for future use?

  Surely one’s present security depends on his staying awake with the “faithful and discreet slave.”

  * Who was that “FDS” that was awake to 1914?

  * Not Russell, he wasn’t the FDS…

  A letter from my brother Nathan to my uncle in 1978 when Nathan was at Bethel

  my uncle recently died and apparently he never threw anything away.

  among many things he held onto was a letter that my brother wrote to my uncle in 1978 from bethel.

  my brother was in the same hall as howard zenke (a real heavy at bethel) and nathan rode to all the meetings with howard and beana.

  The GB are never held accountable for the deep, deep grief they cause.

  Witnesses: Why The 1/19/14 WT Lesson Is Dangerous

  today's watchtower lesson touched on the history of hezekiah's reign, and then made a surprising modern-day application.

  having used my time before the meeting to research the underlying material instead of highlighting my magazine, i personally found this to be an upsetting study, and decided to put this warning here in the hopes that some active witnesses read it.. the most important thing i want to say to you is that the actual flow of events in this bible account were severely misrepresented, and that there are some disturbing implications in the distortions that were made.

  1. hezekiah's father ahaz makes himself a vassal to assyria out of fear of their overwhelming might (2 kings 16:7, 8).. 2. upon becoming king, hezekiah rebels against assyria (2 kings 18:7).

  Luv this: "Ask yourself: can I really trust seemingly-illogical instructions from the organization IF....

  I cannot trust them to summarize a simple Bible account clearly and honestly?"

  This hits the nail on the head.. "TRUST..."

  Can you trust the WTBS IF they tell you taking a kidney transplant is wrong and you die.......

  THEN they tell you "it's ok now".... ??? True, very illogical... but we SHOULD trust them....

  OR

  IF they tell you "We are disfellowshipping you for taking a kidney transplant"

  THEN the day after they DF you for taking the kidney, they "Power Ranger up" find out from Holy Spirit that "it's ok now"

  They will not reinstate you until you have been DF'd for a year, come crawling back, begging, pleading, sitting silently with head bowed, repenting for doing what the Power Rangers then decide is OK now...

  Very illogical, but you shouuuuuuuld trust them, riiiight? After all, like they said "obey any instructions 'you' may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not."

  and, since it doesn't seem logical.... better to obey than take a chance and think!
